Harrow School Online has been shortlisted for the Strategic education initiative of the year category in the 2021 Tes Independent School Awards.

The shortlist, which was announced on Friday, sees Harrow School Online place amongst a range of other leading independent schools throughout the UK who have been recognised for initiatives that have a proven impact on the learning outcomes for pupils and help them to fulfil their potential.

Heather Rhodes, Principal of Harrow School Online, said: “I'm really excited to have been shortlisted for the strategic education initiative. Online teaching has the potential to revolutionise education as a whole, and I'm proud that Harrow School Online is leading the way in defining excellent provision online.

“In entering the awards this year, we hoped to have the opportunity to celebrate the teachers, staff and teams that are making a real difference to the lives of our students and we are thrilled that this impact has been recognised.”

The Tes Independent School Awards celebrate those making remarkable contributions to independent schools. And, by applauding excellence and rewarding innovation, the awards provide benchmarks for the independent sector as a whole.

Whilst the current circumstances mean that there will be no in-person celebration event, the online awards will take place on Friday 30th April.
