Jonathan Shields

Jonathan has taught Economics and Business studies at A level for over twenty one years and has held positions of Head of Sixth Form, Head of Economics and Business and Director of Teaching and Learning. He is chief examiner for GCSE Business for Edexcel and Principal Examiner for A Level Business. The students Jonathan has taught have achieved UK first places in external examinations on 17 separate occasions.

Jonathan has co-authored four books to support the GCSE Business course and has been a consultant editor on core texts for Economics and Business at A level. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Hull and a PGCE from the University of Leeds.

He is so well-informed, knowledgeable and confident! His lessons are always quirky and fun, which doesn't stop him from doing an amazing job of preparing us for exams, helping us to get outstanding grades!
