Economics pupil David Gabay passes the Investment Operations Certificate exam by CISI.
Harrow School Online

David Gabay, one of our star Economics pupils, has become one of the youngest - if not the youngest - person to pass the Investment Operations Certificate offered by the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (GDPR is sometimes so painful!).

This is a professional qualification normally taken by those who already hold a first degree and are working in investment and finance… and certainly not by sixth formers. It entitles him to have letters after his name (ACSI) and membership of CISI. Not bad for a 17 year old!

David’s had a busy few months, because he scored 200/200 in Economics AS level over the summer, and additionally gained a CISI Capital Markets Programme qualification to boot. Hats off to CISI who worked out a way for David to take the compliance test for this qualification which would normally be conducted in-house in a financial institution.

David’s been invited by CISI to Mansion House next April to celebrate his achievement.

A huge well done to David for his outrageously impressive achievement! And a huge thanks to our inspirational Economics teacher Jonathan Shields for starting David on his journey by offering preparation for the Introduction to Securities and Investment module as an elective course at Harrow School Online.
